Coffee-smelling country
From the Pyrenees steep slope
Looking out from under the palm of her hand
Into the blue, bottomless ocean.

I came to Portugal and… immediately fell in love. The country on the edge of Europe captivated by the smell of coffee, the beauty of the scenery, the brightness of the sun over the vast expanse of the Atlantic… Over the next few days I discovered lovely cities. The streets were full of restaurants, cafes, taverns with healthy and delicious food, stores, and markets with a variety of gifts of the sea and land.

And I also met people who came from Eastern Europe, who, happily speaking their native language with me, admitted that they loved Portugal very much, but very much miss the flavors of their homeland…

It was then that the thought occurred to me: these monolithic shores lack our Monolith, with the foodstuffs which for centuries occupied places of honor on the tables of our ancestors. So in 2005, together with our partners, we decided to open our company Monolith Iberica Lda, a food and beverage company from Eastern Europe.

For 17 years, we have worked with the biggest European producers, we have exclusive rights, we develop our own brands, we find new solutions for the presentation of our products.

The motto of our company is “Taste familiar from childhood!” And today we can proudly say that we bring the Joy of Taste to every home and every family!
